The Story of Awkward

The Story of AwkwardIf you are looking for a happy book about beautiful people, this is the wrong story.
If you are looking for a narrative without emotion, without regrets, and without mistakes, this is definitely the wrong story.

This is by no means an uncomplicated tale about uncomplicated people. It is by no means sweet or light.

This story is ugly.
This story is complicated.
This story is emotional.
This story is tragic.

In short, this story is about being awkward.

Peregrine Storke is an artist with an odd sketchbook full of pictures she’s drawn since she was a child. It is a book full of strange sketches and awkward characters, for there is no better way to hide from bullying and life than to create a world of your own. With a stroke of her pencil, she has given life to a spectacled princess, a freckle-nosed king, a candy loving troll, a two-horned unicorn, and a graceless fairy.

At nineteen, Peregrine leaves her home, her sketchbook, and awkwardness behind. But what happens when something goes wrong in the world of Awkward? Trapped inside of her complex realm with the bully she thought to leave behind, Peregrine discovers there is nothing worse than falling for your own villain.

The story of awkward is well... awkward. The story of awkward isn't how these books are normally written, it was more in a fun way then a serious type way. I overall really liked the book, the only thing I don't really like about it was that there wasn't a lot about the main characters, there was some obvious things, like fears, but nothing much deeper then that. Overall its good, not amazing but good.

OH MY GOSH. I NEED THE NEXT BOOK RIGHT NOW. RIGHT NOW. WHY ARE THESE ALL CLIFF HANGER ENDING. WHY MICHELLE HODKINS WHY?

The In Between

23500346Tara Jenkins and Justin Westcroft used to be childhood BFFs. Now in high school, Justin’s a popular, all-star athlete, and Tara spends her days admiring him from afar. But when Tara saves Justin from nearly drowning in a freak accident, he’s unable to get her out of his mind. In no time at all, Tara and Justin fall deeply in love. And even though it’s only high school, they seem destined for a Happily Ever After.

Until tragedy strikes—and this time, Justin’s not so lucky. Tara passes through her days as a shell of her former self: Justin’s dead, but she can still feel his presence, and she can’t seem to let him go.

But there’s a reason for that, and it’s not just grief: Justin is In Between, and he’s still holding on.

They say that when someone saves you, you’re tied to them for life. But what about in the afterlife?

I recieved this book through Netgalley for review. I wasn't sure what kind of book this was going to be. I was hoping  it was going to be different then it is. The ending was very syfy. It wasn't really a probability to at least for me.  So overall I would only give it a 3 star rating overall.

Bomb

BombWhen Genesis goes on an internet date she is only anxious that this latest guy won't be 'The One'. She's not at all worried about meeting a dodgy bloke or getting in too deep. And when her date appears she texts her best mate, Jackson, to let him know that she thinks this time, he just might be 'The One'. And he texts her back with a huge: I LIKE.

It's the one all right. But not in the way she expects.

For when Genesis wake

To her horror, Genesis has become an agent of mass destruction. The countdown to detonation begins now...s up the next day, she can't remember a thing. She can't remember where she is, or how she got there. And she can hardly move because she is strapped into some kind of body armour ... and then a voice sounds in her head: 'Get on to the 37 going north. You are strapped to a vest made entirely of explosives. At the push of one button I can detonate you right where you stand.'

I wanted to like this book more but it wasn't as good. It had suspence and all but that was it. And it had a weird ending. I wanted to lik it more but couldn't.

I recieved this book from netgalley for a review.

Broken

Caleb is perfect in every way, almost too perfect and Gwen has never felt so happy. He is hers and she is his. Life can't get much better and their love can't get any stronger. That is until mistakes are made and their world comes crumbling down. She's left alone with no money, no home and a growing person invading her stomach. How will she survive?

Forced to leave culinary school, the job she needs and the home they made together. Gwen finds a knight in the most unlikely source. Caleb's brother Nathan. A complex man with a phobia she doesn't understand and mannerisms that aren't of this day and age, will she be able to melt his seemingly frozen heart and become his friend? Or will he forever push her away and wallow in his loneliness and self loathing?

OH MY GOSH. What did I just read???? This book was stinking AMAZING. The first couple of chapters were very cheesy and then it takes a huge turn and turns into an amazing story and the cheesyness floats away from the rest of the story. It is an amazing read! I need to read the second book but don't want to pay $3 for an e book. Especially when this one was free on amazon. Overall AMAZING! The only down fall is that there is a little to much in the sexual area's of the book. But i overlooked that because the rest was amazing.

The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight

The Statistical Probability of Love at First SightFour minutes changes everything. Hadley Sullivan 17 misses her flight at JFK airport, is late to her father's second wedding in London with never-met stepmother. Hadley meets the perfect boy. Oliver is British, sits in her row. A long night on the plane passes in a blink, but the two lose track in arrival chaos. Can fate bring them together again?

I loved this book. I was only looking for a filler to read while i was waiting on the rest of the Mara Dyer trilogy to come in at the library and saw this on my Kindle list and had heard good things so figured why not? Turns out this is one of the best book i have ever gotten for free! I loved the story, the length was perfect, i loved that it WAS a chessy romance. It was a lot like Anna and the french kiss, but has less character development but this book only covers around a 24 hour stretch, not a long period of time like Anna was. Overall, ITS AMAZING. GO AND READ IT!
